A strong response will:
1. Refer to the
text and use vocabulary and examples from the piece. Responses are complete
and detailed.
2. Use a tone and style appropriate for the topic and audience throughout the entry.
3. Use correct spelling. Contain few mistakes in punctuation and capitalization.
Mistakes do not hinder understanding.

Candidate websites – Part 1

Visit each candidate’s website.

http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/Issues/
First, visit the “issue” page on each website.
On scrap paper, list all the “issues” included by each candidate (you might find a T chart helpful here).
Jot down how the issues are organized.
Now, choose two issues that both candidates address. Carefully read the candidates’ positions. Compare and contrast them on your scrap paper.
